Plandek’s global leadership in software delivery analytics is reconfirmed by Gartner this week, as Plandek is recognised a leading vendor in the ‘Software Engineering Intelligence Platforms’ Market Guide 2024.

Gartner has published the revised edition of their Software Engineering Intelligence Platforms Market Guide in March 2024. The Guide re-emphasises the importance of applying intelligent analytics across the software delivery process, as organisations look to deliver software projects faster and more efficiently. As a result, the Guide forecasts that the use of engineering intelligence platforms will increase ten-fold in the next 3 years.

Our key takeaways from the 'Software Engineering Intelligence Platforms' Market Guide 2024:

  • Software engineering leaders are under increasing pressure to use data to demonstrate that their teams are delivering value. This data is often either unavailable or distributed across many different engineering systems, making it difficult to collect and analyse.

  • Software engineering intelligence platforms like Plandek provide visibility of team activities with customizable dashboards and support metrics frameworks like DORA and SPACE metrics.

  • Software engineering leaders should use these platforms to drive improved productivity and value delivery.

Plandek differentiators noted in the Gartner Market Guide include:

  • The largest library of highly configurable metrics and analytics across the SDLC, including DORA metrics, Flow metrics and much more

  • A holistic analytics solution that engages teams - and enables tech leadership, managers and teams to track and drive delivery improvement at all levels

  • Super-easy, cost-free set up

  • A highly flexible, stack-agnostic, analytics-only solution that integrates with varied workflows, processes and toolsets

  • SmartView AI-driven, intelligent analytics to identify blockers, mitigate risk and improve forecasting at the sprint and epic level

  • Plandek’s team of domain experts who are on-hand to help clients select metrics, implement Plandek and create a culture of metrics-led continuous improvement across their software delivery capability.

Charlie Ponsonby, CEO of Plandek, comments:

“Plandek’s leading and differentiated position in the Engineering Intelligence space is reflected in its inclusion as a leading global vendor in the 2024 Gartner Market Guide."

Charlie continues:

"This latest Gartner Market Guide recognises the exploding growth in software engineering intelligence platforms – with a ten-fold growth forecast by Gartner in the next 3 years as organisations look to apply intelligent analytics to the challenge of delivering software faster, more predictably and more efficiently.”
